Shoreditch Design Week is returning this September, putting one of London’s most creative neighborhoods at the heart of the city’s design scene. Running from September 15 to 20, the festival will feature over 60 showrooms, galleries, studios, and cultural spaces, showcasing the people, ideas, and products shaping the future of design.
A new chapter for Shoreditch Design Week
Formerly known as the Shoreditch Design Triangle, the event is entering a new chapter in 2026, with an expanded program reflecting the diversity and energy of contemporary design. Over six days, the district will host product launches, exhibitions, installations, talks, tours, and workshops.
The first three days will be anchored by four major exhibitions, exploring pressing industry conversations. Material Matters, the UK’s leading exhibition on material innovation, will make its Shoreditch debut at UNLOCKED on Curtain Road, focusing on sustainable built environments.
Spotlight on emerging talent and sustainability
House of ICON will showcase contemporary interiors, from Scandinavian simplicity to expressive maximalism. Isola, an internationally recognized platform, will champion independent designers and emerging studios working at the intersection of innovation, experimentation, and sustainability.
At Protein Studios, Design at Work will explore the relationship between design and the workplace, while Neuroplaces will focus on neuroinclusive and accessible design, emphasizing wellbeing and inclusion.
The festival also highlights emerging talent with ND Selects, curated by New Designers, and celebrates a decade of influential industrial design with Design Burger: The Product Design 100.
Diverse design perspectives and celebrations
House of ICON presents a wide range of contemporary interiors, from minimalist Scandinavian styles to bold maximalism. It highlights various approaches to shaping living, hospitality, and work environments.
Exploring Shoreditch’s creative spaces
Beyond the exhibition venues, the wider district offers more to discover. Showrooms, galleries, and studios will open their doors for launches, installations, talks, tours, and workshops, providing opportunities to experience design in the places where it’s created.
Highlights include the Wax Building and a growing lineup of names such as Jasper Morrison, Bethan Laura Wood, and Christopher Farr. As part of the London Design Festival, Shoreditch Design Week invites visitors to explore the district at their own pace, discovering the people, products, and ideas shaping design today.
