Bali Body founder’s Brighton mansion revealed

The founders of Melbourne-based beauty brand Bali Body are putting their Brighton home on the market, offering a glimpse into the resort-style residence they built in one of the city’s most desirable beachside areas.

The property at 23 Wolseley Grove, called Wolseley Residence, is listed with a price guide of $10.75 million to $11.5 million. Designed by architecture firm McKimm, the three-level home covers roughly 1,040 square meters and includes four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and parking for four cars.

An architectural statement in concrete and glass

The home’s exterior appears modest, with raw board-formed concrete and black steel creating a simple facade. Inside, the design transforms. Glass walls and cantilevered slabs merge indoor and outdoor spaces, with every major room facing a north-facing swimming pool and landscaped gardens.

Andrew Campbell, founder of Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty – Bayside, explained the effect. The street view offers privacy, but stepping through the front door reveals a striking sense of scale, light, and openness.

The materials balance contrasts—polished concrete floors, gas and wood-burning fireplaces, and warm timber furnishings soften the industrial elements. The kitchen features a five-meter waterfall marble island and dark cabinetry.

The pool as the centerpiece

Outdoor areas drive the home’s design. The north-facing pool serves as the focal point, with sliding glass walls connecting living spaces to a covered terrace and built-in barbecue. A private sports court and landscaped lawn enhance the resort feel.

The main bedroom suite occupies one of two upper-level wings and includes a dressing room and a spacious bathroom. Three additional bedrooms share the second wing, each with large windows framing garden views.

Brighton’s location adds to the property’s appeal. It sits near Brighton Beach, local shops, and restaurants, with easy access to trains.

Laura Foley and David Oosterloo launched Bali Body in 2014. Their brand, known for tanning and suncare products, now sells in over 150 countries. The couple, who have two young children, have not disclosed their reasons for selling.

Market response may determine what happens next. High-end Brighton properties don’t always sell quickly, even with luxury amenities. A slow sale could turn the home into a long-term investment or test Melbourne’s appetite for another multimillion-dollar listing.

The agent handling the sale is Andrew Campbell of Melbourne Sotheby’s International Realty.

Homes like this often draw interest from buyers seeking a backyard style twist in urban settings.
