The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 has unveiled its People’s Choice Awards, celebrating the gardens most popular with visitors based on public voting. Every year, attendees choose their favorites from categories including Large Show Gardens, Small Show Gardens, Balcony and Container Gardens, and All About Plants Gardens. The winners earn the BBC/RHS People’s Choice Award in their respective fields.
This year’s Large Show Gardens winner is Parkinson’s UK – A Garden for Every Parkinson’s Journey, a creation by Arit Anderson. Anderson, known for previous feature gardens at Chelsea, drew inspiration from her sister’s experience with Parkinson’s disease. The project involved workshops with individuals who have Parkinson’s and garden, ensuring the design met their practical requirements. This marks Anderson’s first judged show garden.
In the Small Show Gardens category, Trussell’s Together Garden, designed by Rob Hardy, secured first place.
The All About Plants Gardens award was awarded to Alzheimer’s Society: Microbes and Minds Garden, developed by Tina Worboys.
For the Balcony and Container Gardens category, Melanie Hick won with The Bat Conservation Trust’s Nocturnal Garden. Hick focused on biodiversity and wildlife-friendly design, creating a space adaptable for home gardens. She described the public recognition as validating, reinforcing the garden’s artistic and ecological purpose.
