Orgatec 2026 will feature the Eames Pavilion System, a modular framework created by Kettal in partnership with the Eames Office. Scheduled for October 27–30, 2026, the showcase demonstrates how the system embodies the Eameses’ lasting impact on flexible interior design. Two full-scale installations will be displayed alongside archival documents from the Eames Office, demonstrating how their earlier concepts addressed the need for adaptable environments long before current trends demanded it.

The pavilion’s architecture draws directly from the Eameses’ mid-century residential work, including Case Study House No. 8. Its core principles, modular construction, compact layouts, and reusable parts, remain central to the design. The system’s steel and timber structure incorporates adjustable roofs, exterior panels, and finishes, making it adaptable for corporate offices, retail spaces, or hospitality venues.

Antonio Navarro, Kettal’s creative director, described the process behind the system: “We approached the Eames House not as an object to reproduce, but as the prototype of a system. We studied every component, then translated its logic into contemporary materials and production. The aim was to make that technical work disappear, so the clarity and modularity of the original design remained intact.”

The exhibition also highlights lesser-known Eames Office projects through historical sketches, films, and photographs. These materials reveal the evolution from conceptual drawings to the system’s contemporary applications, illustrating how the Eameses’ ideas remain relevant in an age where workspaces must constantly adapt to changing user requirements.

Attendees can examine the Eames Pavilion System in Hall 10.2, Stand N-048, where the installation serves as both a tribute to design history and a functional model for modern architecture. The system ties in directly with Orgatec’s central theme, “From rooms to relationships: designing spaces in an ever-changing world”.

Professionals attending Orgatec’s main event will have access to the exhibition. Tickets and more information are available at www.orgatec.com.
